Music is life and life is music : 3 chansons/œuvres musicales marquantes personnellement ?
Cet album est pour moi un sans-faute : de la production, à l’arrangement en passant par l’interprétation et les textes ; je le trouve d’une intensité rare.
« Signals » – Todiefor, SHOEBA et Roméo Elvis
J’aime beaucoup ce morceau qui a une prod assez simple et prenante, et qui mélange avec brio des passages en français et en anglais.
« Love Can Be » – Vince Staples
La puissance et l’originalité du morceau m’ont directement plu.
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Je sais depuis petite que je vais travailler dans la musique. Ce que j’allais y faire exactement restait à déterminer. Le moment déterminant pourrait être quand j’ai découvert le jazz à 15 ans, lasse de jouer du Mozart et du Telemann ; ou lors de mon stage chez Pool E Music (ex-label de Antoine Clamaran), ou ma première jam avec un rappeur. Le fait de lancer mon blog m’a permis de mettre un premier pied dans “l’arrière du décor” des artistes.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Si je dois en choisir un absolument … Anderson .Paak sûrement. Il propose un show parfaitement équilibré : la puissance d’un live band jazz/rock/funk, un flow original et percutant, une performance scénique digne des plus grands, la force de l’arrangement live, un charisme très fort, la qualité de chacun des musiciens individuellement, le travail autour du show et du personnage.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Musicienne depuis mes 8 ans, il était pour moi évident que je travaillerai dans la musique. Mon cheminement personnel et mes études m’ont permis d’affiner mon positionnement et de trouver ma place du côté des artistes, en me lançant dans le management et l’accompagnement des artistes.
Vous rencontrez des aliens: les 10 titres / œuvres à leur faire découvrir ?
Il y a certains des artistes que Loom accompagne, mais si je devais rencontrer des aliens je pense que je ne pourrais pas m’en empêcher.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
L’industrie de la musique en général va faire face à de nombreux enjeux ces prochaines années. Parmi eux, on retrouvera la place des femmes dans l’industrie et le monde de l’art, le modèle économique du numérique et des indépendants (artistes et professionnels), le maintien d’une offre diversifiée et qualitative (des playlists aux festivals). Dans l’urbain, il y a également de le challenge de positionnement et de réussir à décloisonner.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle ?
Je pense que je n’aurai jamais une vie “après la musique” mais peut être une vie qui ne serait plus centrée sur l’industrie musicale. Dans ce cas, je reviendrais sûrement vers le métier de journaliste. J’aime beaucoup mon job de chargée de projets d’un espace de coworking artistique également. Sinon peut être ouvrir un bar ou un restaurant, ou un poney club haha.

3 songs/musical works that have been important in your life and why ?
In my opinion, this album is a master piece: from the production to the arrangement but also the interpretation and the lyrics, everything is perfectly executed offering an intense piece of art.
« Signals » – Todiefor, SHOEBA et Roméo Elvis
I really like this track with a simple but efficient instrumental and that cleverly mix French and English lyrics.
« Love Can Be » – Vince Staples
This track hit me as it is pretty powerful and original.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
I’ve known since I am a kid that I would have a job related to music. What exactly was still to be determined. A key moment could be when I discovered jazz, tired of playing Mozart and Telemann; or my first internship aged 15 at Pool E Music (Antoine Clamaran former record company) or the first jam I attended with a rapper. Launching my blog was also very important to the extent that it was the first time I had access to the “behind the scene” of the artistic process.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out?
If I really had to pick one precise show, it would probably be Anderon .Paak. In my opinion, he offers a perfectly balanced show : the charisma and stage presence of the greatest, a voice able to move you but also to make you smile, an original and the power of a live band (The Free Nationals), the quality of the live arrangement, the technicality of each musician, the overall work around the show and the identity of the singer/drummer
Why on earth did you want to work in music?
Musician since I was 8, it was obvious I would have a music related job. My personal path and my studies helped me to refine my position and to find my role by the artists sides, starting with artist management.
You meet aliens : which 10 tracks do they need to hear ?
Some artists in this list are developed by Loom, but if I were to meet UFOs I think I could not help it.

SRSLY (seriously) : what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years ?
The musical industry at large will have to have to face many challenges/issues in the 5 upcoming years. Among them will be the place of women in the music industry, the economic scheme behind a digitalised industry and the independence will of artists/ professionals, upholding of a broad and diversified offer (from playlists to festivals). Regarding urban music, the position is also fundamental and being able to decompartmentalize.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
I hardly doubt I will ever have a life “after music”, maybe one with less music industry in it. In this case, I would probably go back to journalism, although I really love my role as a projet manager in an artistic coworking space. Maybe I would open a bar or a restaurant, or even a riding school haha
