C’est la chanson qui m’a donné envie de plonger dans l’univers de l’Indie Rock, de devenir un guitariste de rock et d’en découvrir toutes ses arrangements à coup de triade superposées.
“Making Plans For Nigel” – XTC
C’est la chanson que mon père m’a fait découvrir qui m’a le plus marquée dans ma vie…
Elle m’a toujours fait vivre la vie le temps comme un ralentie, comme-ci les choses étaient sur pause et qu’on pouvait être spectateur, je trouve que ce piano à un pouvoir magique.
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Avec mon groupe For The Hackers nous avions remporté en 2011 le tremplin du conservatoire de Dieppe, ville où nous sommes originaires. Cela a été déterminant pour faire de cette passion mon métier
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais Mathieu Chedid (-M-) en concert sans hésitation et aller à la Foire aux Vins de Colmar !
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Le collectif, de travailler tout d’abord en groupe avec mes amis mais la musique est aussi le métier artistique qui regroupe le plus d’art différent donc cela a joué beaucoup aussi.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
Difficile comme question. De manière générale ça serait bien de pouvoir re créer des artistes, des musiciens à part entière pour que ce métier rayonne à nouveau sans passer des années par la case administrateur, entrepreneur : y a de la place pour tout le monde. Maintenant c’est sûr, notre pays nous permet quand même de pouvoir profiter de plein d’avantages pour travailler dans la musique donc entre ça, le streaming et les enjeux écologiques : Je pense qu’il faut viser un bon alliage en toutes les parties. Une certaine équité ou justesse à trouver. Pour ma part, toujours le même objectif : garder le Cap ! Step by Step, monter les marches les plus hautes avec toute ma famille et mon équipe.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle?
Y’a pas de vie après la musique, c’est pendant la vie, c’est tout de suite, la musique : c’est la vie !

“You Only Live Once” – The Strokes
It’s the song that made me want to dive into the world of Indie Rock, become a rock guitarist, and explore all its arrangements through layered triads.
“Making Plans For Nigel” – XTC
It’s the song that my father introduced me to that has had the biggest impact on my life…
It has always made me experience life as if it were in slow motion, as if things were on pause, and we could be spectators. I think this piano has a magical power.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
With my band For The Hackers, we won the 2011 Conservatory Springboard in Dieppe, our hometown. This was crucial in turning this passion into my profession.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out?
For someone who never goes out, attending a Mathieu Chedid (-M-) concert without hesitation and going to the Colmar Wine Fair!
Why on earth did you want to work in music?
The collective aspect of working primarily in a group with my friends, but music is also the artistic profession that encompasses the most diverse forms of art, so that played a significant role as well.

SRSLY (seriously): what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years in your opinion ?
Difficult as a question. In general, it would be good to be able to recreate artists, full-fledged musicians, so that this profession shines again without spending years in the administrative and entrepreneurial realm: there’s room for everyone. Now, for sure, our country still allows us to take advantage of many benefits for working in music, so, between that, streaming, and ecological concerns: I think we need to aim for a good balance in all aspects. There’s a certain fairness or rightness to be found. For me, always the same goal: stay the course! Step by step, climb the highest steps with my family and my team.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
There’s no life after music; it’s during life, it’s right now, music is life!
