Après l’obtention de mon baccalauréat d’éducation générale au complexe scolaire Michel Dirat, au Gabon, dans la filière Économie, je suis parti poursuivre mon cursus en Afrique du Sud.
Après l’école de langue, j’ai obtenu un Higher Certificate in Business Principles and Practice, équivalent d’un BTS. J’ai ensuite entamé une licence professionnelle en commerce, spécialité Strategic Management. Je me suis arrêté en troisième année faute de moyens financiers.
After obtaining my high school diploma in economics at the Michel Dirat school complex in Gabon, I left to continue my studies in South Africa.
After language school, I obtained a Higher Certificate in Business Principles and Practice, equivalent to a BTS (advanced vocational training certificate). I then began a professional bachelor’s degree in commerce, specializing in Strategic Management. I stopped in my third year due to a lack of financial resources.
Poste actuel / Current position
Actuellement, je suis principalement auto-entrepreneur en tant qu’artiste-auteur. Je vends des dates de concerts, j’anime des ateliers d’écriture et d’expression scénique, et je commercialise des CD ainsi que des produits dérivés.
En parallèle, dans un cadre associatif, j’organise des événements.
Currently, I am primarily a self-employed artist and author. I sell concert tickets, lead writing and stage performance workshops, and sell CDs and merchandise.

C’est un morceau qui m’a toujours motivé. Encore aujourd’hui, je l’écoute pour me booster.
« All I Do Is Win » – DJ Khaled
Ce morceau est associé à l’un de mes plus beaux souvenirs de scène. En 2010, à Lagos, à l’occasion des MTV Africa Music Awards, j’ai eu la chance de partager la scène avec Rick Ross et T-Pain sur ce titre, en clôture de l’événement.
Ce freestyle m’évoque beaucoup de souvenirs de cet été ; il est devenu le banger de la saison, avec plusieurs remix réalisés par les potos kickeurs.
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Le moment déterminant pour moi a été en 2018, dans ma chambre d’étudiant. J’ai réalisé que la musique me passionnait réellement et que je voulais en faire mon métier. À partir de là, j’ai commencé à acheter du matériel pour produire de la musique depuis ma chambre et à m’intéresser aux ateliers afin d’en apprendre un maximum sur l’industrie musicale.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Il y a encore beaucoup d’artistes que j’aimerais moi-même voir en live, mais je recommande fortement MC Solaar, Youssoupha et Le J.O. Ils dégagent une véritable énergie sur scène, et la symbiose avec leur groupe est à voir absolument.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
J’ai été guidé dans ce choix par ma passion, ainsi que par la volonté de prouver aux jeunes issus du même milieu que moi qu’il est possible de partir de rien et de réussir dans cette industrie, qui est loin d’être évidente.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
Selon moi, il faudra veiller à préserver le caractère incomparable de l’expérience de la performance en live. Avec les nouvelles technologies et l’IA, qui transforment la manière de créer et de vivre la musique, il est d’autant plus important de maintenir la valeur de la musique jouée en live.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle ?
Pour l’instant, je visualise uniquement ma vie après la scène en contribuant à la mise en avant d’autres talents. Je ne pense pas quitter le domaine ; même si cela pourrait changer, ce n’est pas quelque chose que j’envisage pour le moment.

It’s a song that has always motivated me. Even today, I listen to it to boost my energy.

Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
The defining moment for me was in 2018, in my student dorm room. I realized that I was truly passionate about music and that I wanted to make it my career. From then on, I started buying equipment to produce music from my room and took an interest in workshops to learn as much as I could about the music industry.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out ?
There are still many artists that I would like to see live myself, but I highly recommend MC Solaar, Youssoupha, and Le J.O. They exude real energy on stage, and the symbiosis with their band is a must-see.
Why on earth did you want to work in music ?
I was guided in this choice by my passion, as well as by the desire to prove to young people from the same background as me that it is possible to start from nothing and succeed in this industry, which is far from easy.

SRSLY (seriously): what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years in your opinion ?
In my opinion, we must ensure that the incomparable nature of the live performance experience is preserved. With new technologies and AI transforming the way music is created and experienced, it is even more important to maintain the value of live music.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
For now, I can only imagine my life after the stage by helping to promote other talents. I don’t think I’ll leave the field; even if that could change, it’s not something I’m considering at the moment.
