Music is life and life is music : 3 chansons/œuvres musicales marquantes personnellement ?
Le meilleur album de Daft Punk selon moi, tant pour sa musique que pour l’univers développé autour, notamment avec le film d’animation Interstella 5555. Cet album est une grande source d’inspiration dans mon processus de création musicale.
« Self Control » – Laura Branigan
Ce titre a une signification particulière pour moi et fait partie d’une longue liste de morceaux que j’ai découverts grâce à une radio dans le jeu vidéo GTA Vice City. J’étais assez jeune à l’époque (trop jeune pour y jouer haha), mais cette découverte a marqué le début de mon intérêt pour la musique disco et new wave, qui m’ont ensuite conduit vers la musique électronique.
Un titre que j’ai découvert en 2017 lors de mon échange universitaire aux États-Unis. En plus d’être un titre incroyable, il incarne une période particulièrement enrichissante de ma vie, à laquelle je rattache de beaux souvenirs.
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Ça a été l’addition de plusieurs évènements et rencontres. En entrant en école de commerce je n’avais aucune idée de ce que je voulais faire. Au fil de mes expériences pro je me suis rendue compte qu’il était indispensable pour moi de travailler dans un milieu qui me passionnait, la musique a donc été une évidence. Ça a été véritablement lors de mon 2ème master à l’EMIC et mon alternance chez TuneCore que j’ai pu finalement rentrer dans cette industrie et mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
The Weeknd : pour le génie, la scénographie, la performance vocale et la discographie.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Je ne vois pas le travail autrement que celui fait par passion. On y passe la plus grande partie de notre vie donc c’était évident et naturel pour moi de me diriger dans cette branche.
Étant également musicienne & DJ, c’était pour moi aussi un moyen de me rapprocher au maximum de cet univers et de m’entourer de personnes partageant la même passion que moi.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
Je pense que le principal enjeu des cinq prochaines années résidera dans la capacité à innover et à s’adapter aux évolutions constantes de l’industrie musicale. En seulement quatre ans chez TuneCore, j’ai été témoin de nombreux bouleversements : l’émergence de nouvelles plateformes, l’évolution des usages, et des changements dans les comportements d’écoute. Cela m’a montré à quel point il est crucial de savoir s’adapter pour rester pertinent dans cet environnement en perpétuelle transformation.
Un autre défi majeur sera de préserver l’art et la musique en tant qu’ éléments centraux, en veillant à ce qu’ils ne soient pas éclipsés ou dénaturés par des tendances éphémères. Mettre en lumière les créateurs, compositeurs, beatmakers et tous ceux qui façonnent la musique telle qu’elle existe aujourd’hui, tout en veillant à leur offrir la reconnaissance qu’ils méritent pleinement.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle ?
Oui, mais la musique sera toujours présente, juste sous d’autres formes. Elle m’accompagnera toujours d’une manière ou d’une autre.

3 songs/musical works that have been important in your life and why ?
The best Daft Punk album in my opinion, both for its music and for the universe created around it, especially with the animated film Interstella 5555. This album is a great source of inspiration in my music creation process.

This track holds a special meaning for me and is part of a long list of songs I discovered through a radio station in the video game GTA Vice City. I was quite young at the time (too young to be playing this video game, haha), but this discovery sparked my interest in disco and new wave music, which led me to electronic music.
A track I discovered in 2017 during my university exchange in the United States. Beyond being an incredible song, it embodies a particularly enriching period of my life, filled with beautiful memories.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
It was the result of several events and encounters. When I started business school, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Over the course of my professional experiences, I realized that it was essential for me to work in a field I was passionate about, and music became the obvious choice. It was truly during my second master’s program at EMIC and my apprenticeship at TuneCore that I was finally able to enter the industry and take my first steps in this field.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out ?
The Weeknd: for the genius, the scenography, the vocal performance, and the discography.
Why on earth did you want to work in music ?
I can’t imagine work as anything other than something driven by passion. We spend the majority of our lives working, so it was obvious and natural for me to pursue this field. As a musician and DJ as well, it was also a way for me to get as close as possible to this world and surround myself with people who share the same passion as I do.

SRSLY (seriously): what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years in your opinion ?
I believe the main challenge over the next five years will be the ability to innovate and adapt to the constant changes in the music industry. In just four years at TuneCore, I have witnessed numerous shifts: the emergence of new platforms, the evolution of user habits, and changes in listening behaviors. This has shown me how crucial it is to remain adaptable in order to stay relevant in this ever-evolving environment.
Another major challenge will be to preserve art and music as central elements, ensuring they are not overshadowed by fleeting trends. It’s essential to shine a spotlight on creators, composers, beatmakers, and all those who shape music as we know it today, while making sure they receive the recognition and rewards they truly deserve.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
Yes, but music will always be present, just in different forms. It will always accompany me in one way or another.
