Music is life and life is music : 3 chansons/œuvres musicales marquantes personnellement ?
« Egyptian Joint » – Young Bull
Parce que le début de la prod est incroyable.. Merci Solomon Fox. Cette chanson m’évoque le voyage, et me rappelle qu’il n’y a rien de mieux que de le faire seule pour les opportunités que ça offre !
Pour mes origines, et le titre me parle énormément. Il me motive à ne rien lâcher !
« For my ladies » – Yussef dayes
Parce qu’il m’a fait renouer lien avec le jazz, et les drums… Quand j’écoute ce son, j’ai l’impression d’être sur un nuage avec un lit douillet, une cheminée, et une vue imprenable sur l’univers.
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Je pense que c’est le moment où j’ai intégré Loop Sessions Paris au tout début, en tant que vidéaste pendant les événements. Dès le premier évent, j’ai su que j’avais quelque chose à jouer et à apporter, au delà de relater visuellement l’ambiance incroyable de ce concept.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Aller voir un live à la Philharmonie. Je ne l’ai encore jamais fait, mais je pense que c’est une expérience incroyable.
Mino aussi, ca permet d’avoir une nouvelle approche d’une écoute d’album, c’est une excellente expérience que j’invite tout le monde à essayer !
Dernière chose, je dirais les bar Jazz de paname.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Depuis toujours, la musique fait partie de mon univers, grâce à mes parents, mes frères et sœurs. J’ai eu la chance de découvrir une multitude de genres : du Kompa par mon père, au Rock par ma mère, de la Techno au Jazz, en passant par le reggae dub, le hip-hop et le R&B des années 90-2000 par mes frères et sœurs. J’ai commencé par filmer des événements, puis j’ai pris en main le projet Loop Sessions Paris. Aujourd’hui, je ressens le besoin d’aller plus loin, car je sais que mon parcours n’est pas le fruit du hasard. J’ai une multitude de choses à partager et à apporter.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
Les enjeux de mon métier dans les cinq prochaines années sont multiples.
Tout d’abord, il s’agit de structurer mon activité de manière à pouvoir en vivre pleinement, en développant une approche solide et durable de mon entreprise. Je souhaite également continuer à apprendre et à tirer profit des expériences, qu’elles soient bonnes ou mauvaises, afin d’être prête à affronter les défis du milieu, qui n’est pas toujours simple.
Un autre objectif clé sera de mettre en lumière les talents émergents, de faire découvrir les pépites de demain et de contribuer à leur réussite. Enfin, je tiens à jouer un rôle actif dans l’évolution de l’industrie musicale, en plaçant le beatmaking, la composition musicale et l’ingénierie sonore au cœur de cette industrie. Mon ambition est de participer à l’essor de ces disciplines, en les rendant plus visibles et en leur offrant la reconnaissance qu’ils méritent.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle ?
Je ne pense pas qu’il y’ai de vie après la musique pour moi. Le son fait partie intégrante de mon âme hahahahh. Elle a décidé d’entrer dans la mienne, elle n’en sortira pas. Elle n’a plus le choix !

« Egyptian Joint » – Young Bull
Because the start of the production is incredible… Thank you, Solomon Fox. This song evokes the feeling of travel and reminds me that there’s nothing better than doing it alone for the opportunities it brings!
For my origin, and the title resonates deeply with me. It motivates me to never give up!

Because it made me reconnect with jazz and drums… When I listen to this track, I feel like I’m floating on a cloud, with a cozy bed, a fireplace, and a breathtaking view of the universe.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
I think it was when I first joined Loop Sessions Paris, at the very beginning, as a videographer during the events. From the first event, I knew I had something to contribute, beyond just visually capturing the incredible atmosphere of this concept.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out ?
I’ve never been to a live at the Philharmonie, but I think it’s an incredible experience. Mino too. It offers a whole new approach to listening to an album. It’s an amazing experience that I highly recommend everyone to try! Lastly, I’d mention the jazz bars in Paris.
Why on earth did you want to work in music ?
Music has always been a part of my world, thanks to my parents and siblings. I’ve had the chance to discover a wide range of genres: Kompa through my father, Rock through my mother, Techno and Jazz, as well as reggae dub, hip-hop, and 90s-2000s R&B through my siblings. I started by filming events, then took the reins of the Loop Sessions Paris project. Today, I feel the need to go further, because I know my journey is no accident. I have so much to share and contribute

SRSLY (seriously): what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years in your opinion ?
The challenges of my profession over the next five years are multifaceted. First, I aim to structure my work in a way that allows me to fully sustain myself, by developing a solid and sustainable approach to my business. I also want to keep learning and benefiting from experiences, whether positive or negative, so I’m prepared to face the challenges of this industry, which is not always easy.
Another key goal is to spotlight emerging talents, to help uncover tomorrow’s gems and contribute to their success. Finally, I aspire to play an active role in the evolution of the music industry by placing beatmaking, musical composition, and sound engineering at its core. My ambition is to help these disciplines thrive by increasing their visibility and ensuring they receive the recognition they truly deserve.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
I don’t think there’s life after music. Sound is an integral part of my soul hahahah. It decided to enter mine, and it’s never leaving. It has no choice now!
