Majoritairement en pause et en restructuration de mon activité, quelques mandats comme Booker/Gestion de Projet avec Dalati. J’ai besoin de ce temps d’apprentissage et de réflexion après 12 ans de suite dans la musique.
Mainly restructuring my activity after twelve years of total dedication to music, some side-activities as Booker or Project Manager with my structure Dalati. I need this time of learning and reflecting after spending 12 years in a row in Music.

Music is life and life is music : 3 chansons/œuvres musicales marquantes personnellement ?
Probablement “ma chanson préférée”, elle me fait pleurer à chaque fois. Ça parle de l’héritage de la souffrance liée à la violence coloniale et raciste.
« Laisse-moi t’oublier » – Psycho Weazel, Princesse Daniel & Jean-Mule
Probablement la meilleure chanson que j’ai sortie du temps de ma carrière d’artiste, en collaboration avec des artistes d’exception.
Une chanson très émouvante de l’artiste Egyptien Wegz, actuellement le plus streamé du “Moyen-Orient.” (région SWANA)
Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Bonne question. Je pense que le succès du collectif Suisse “Nébuleuse” dont je faisais partie m’a permis de me confronter au monde professionnel et du spectacle par l’intermédiaire de tournées, de négociations, de Direction Artistique et d’organisation événementielle. Cela m’a aussi permis de découvrir la notoriété et la scène.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Un show qui me vient spontanément en tête est celui de Burna Boy, excellent sous tout rapport. s/o Nadim.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Je ne l’ai pas fait exprès. Je suis arrivé dans ce milieu par le succès relatif de notre groupe d’amis dans le rap, et j’ai développé à travers cette aventure de nombreux talents que j’ai souhaité continuer à mettre à disposition d’autres projets, car j’en constate le besoin autour de moi et que j’aime stimuler ma créativité. Pour moi, la musique a toujours été un facteur fort d’identité, d’expression et un vecteur de changement. Le récit y occupe une place centrale.

SRSLY (sérieusement) : les enjeux de votre métier dans les 5 prochaines années ?
Je pense que la question des conditions de création des oeuvres est au centre de la réflexion actuellement. Qui produit ? Pour qui ? Dans quelles conditions ? La nouvelle gestion doit composer avec ces questions tout en offrant des perspectives adaptables en fonction des spécificités de chaque projet, de chaque mandat et donc de chaque contexte. La singularité est la clé, ainsi que l’autonomie.
Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle?
Elle sera silencieuse – si Dieu le veut. J’en profiterai pour me reposer davantage et apprécier le calme.

3 songs/musical works that have been important in your life and why ?
Probably my “favorite song”, I cry every time. The song is about inheriting suffering – linked to colonial violence and racism.

Probably the best song I released as an artist – with amazing other artists on featuring.
Very emotive song from the Egyptian artist Wegz, who’s actually the most streamed MENA artist.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
It’s a good question. I think a big switch has been the success of the Swiss collective “Nébuleuse” in which I was a huge part. It became my first experiences with tour management, negotiation, artistic direction and event management – as well as discovering fame and being on stage.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out?
A show which comes spontaneously to my mind is Burna Boy’s – amazing on every point.
Why on earth did you want to work in music?
I never wanted to. I arrived in the field because of the relative success of our rap group and then developed a lot of skills that were useful and recognised in this journey. I choose to continue to bring these skills to help those who need them after the end of my own career. Based on my personal story and feeling, Music has always been a factor for identity and expression, and a vector for change.

SRSLY (seriously): what are the stakes of your job within the next 5 years in your opinion ?
I think the conditions of creation of music and other content is very important at the moment. Who produces ? For whom ? In which conditions ? New ways of managing have to understand and work from this new paradigm while offering flexible offers to take into account the specificities of each project and its context. Singularity is the key, as well as autonomy.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
Silent – God willing. I’d love to rest more and to enjoy calmness.
