Music is life and life is music : 3 chansons/œuvres musicales marquantes personnellement ?
Cette chanson m’a fait comprendre, petite, la dimension, la profondeur et l’intensité de l’histoire qu’on pouvait raconter à travers une musique.
Cet album a été mon premier crush électro, et aujourd’hui je considère l’électro comme mes racines.

Ticket gagnant : quel a été le moment déterminant pour mettre le pied à l’étrier dans ce milieu ?
Quand j’ai terminé mon DU de musicothérapie, et que j’ai réalisé que je ne voulais pas être musicothérapeute. Je suis alors partie à la montagne, m’isoler, seule, pour apprendre à me servir de Logic (logiciel) et composer. Ce fut catastrophique, je suis rentrée au bout d’un mois. Ce mois a été psychologiquement très compliqué, mais quand je suis revenue, je savais exactement qui je voulais être et comment j’allais le faire.
Recommandation de spectacle/concert à voir absolument pour quelqu’un qui ne sort jamais ?
Wow, il y a tellement de choses à voir ! Je pense que le live de Kalika est à faire absolument, c’est une expérience globale, qui fait passer par plein d’émotions différentes !
Qu’est-ce qui vous a pris de vouloir travailler dans la musique?
Je pense que ça a toujours été là. Mon père chantait et jouait beaucoup de piano à la maison, il y avait beaucoup de fêtes où on finissait par boeufer. Et ma mère a joué un immense rôle dans ma culture, elle m’emmenait au cinéma, voir des expositions… Le terrain était fertile pour que je fasse de la musique et pour que je m’exprime à la maison. Avec le temps, je me suis seulement rendue compte que si je ne misais pas sur moi et que je n’investissais pas sur cette vie d’artiste, je serais malheureuse.

Y a-t-il une vie après la musique et à quoi la vôtre ressemblerait-elle?
Je me pose pas vraiment la question, la musique a toujours été là et sera toujours là d’une manière ou d’une autre, elle fait partie de mon identité !

She has been a complete game changer to me. Her project implied an identification, symbolized a landmark, and enabled my rebirth as a solo artist and musician.
Golden Ticket moment : when did you get your big break ?
When I finished my DU in music therapy, and realized that I didn’t want to be a music therapist. So I went off to the mountains, alone, to learn how to use Logic (software) and compose. It was a complete disaster, I came back after a month. That month was psychologically very complicated, but when I came back, I knew exactly who I wanted to be and how I was going to do it.
The show/gig you recommend for someone who has rarely ever goes out?
Wow, there’s so much to see! I think Kalika’s live show is a must-see. It’s an all-encompassing experience that takes you through so many different emotions!
Why on earth did you want to work in music?
I think it’s always been there. My father used to sing and play the piano a lot at home, and there were lots of parties where we ended up jamming. And my mother played a huge role in my culture, taking me to the cinema, to see exhibitions… The ground was fertile for me to make music and express myself at home. Over time, I came to realize that if I didn’t invest in myself and my life as an artist, I’d be unhappy.

By no giving up haha, keep believing, always!
To keep progressing, in my musical skills and in my live and DA proposals – to meet people and surround myself with kind and motivated people – to manage the advance of technology without being at its service – to really understand and exploit my singularity as an artist.
Is there life after music, and what would yours be ?
I don’t really ask myself the question, music has always been there and will always be there in one way or another, it’s part of my identity!
